What was a good experience was being able to talk with the Japanese doctors studying and working abroad and also visiting their laboratories in the university, learning the differences between Japan and America. I had been thinking I would like to study abroad in the future, and it was possible to get a more concrete image of studying abroad by hearing the advantages and disadvantages directly from these doctors. I was also able to shadow a Japanese doctor at her clinic. I understand now more than ever the importance of speaking both English and Japanese.

（和訳）他にも、大学の研究室を見学して日本との違いを自分の目でみて、留学している日本人医師の方々に話を直接聞くことができたことは良い機会でした。ただ漠然と将来留学してみたいと考えていましたが、メリットとデメリットを聞いたことにより、より具体的な留学のイメージを掴むことができました。また、現地で医師として働いている先生の診療所でシャドーイングを行えたことも良い経験でした。日本人の駐在員の方々のために、日本人の医師が必要なことや、英語と日本語の両方を使いこなすことの重要性を感じました。
